Our Medical Program

This is our Puppy Medical Program. 

We give each of our adult dogs, daily Vitamins along with there dog food. Each pregnant mother is also given a daily Prenatal Vitamin during their pregnancy, to ensure both the mother and puppies are the healthiest as they can be.

Feeding:

During potty training, we recommend feeding at a minimum morning and evening as much as the puppy would like to eat and then pick up the food when they are done. (Our puppies do not usually benge eat everything that is available, even though this is possible. If so, you will need to control the amount of food they consume, but this is not the norm.) Remember they will want to poo about 20-30 min after they eat, so they will need to go out until they do. Once your pet is potty trained, you should be able to leave food out for them to eat as they like, if this is something you prefer to do, if not that is fine too.

Water is the hardest to train if you leave it out all of the time. We have seen both ways of monitoring the water like the food but giving it to them much more often so you can control the time of peeing. But, the grazing option for water is the usual way. With this, any time your puppy sleeps/naps, once they awake the first thing they are going to want to do is pee. So you will have to keep an eye out.

If you make sure your pet does both pee and poo jobs before you go to bed at night, it is not unusual for them to sleep all night. If they should be woke up for some reason in the middle of the night, they will want to pee/poo? and then play a little. Sometimes if you give them something to chew on after the pee, they will settle down fairly quickly again and sleep the rest of the night. I have seen that if you have a quiet night and they don’t get woke up, they will sleep all night.

If you choose to switch their food to another brand or type, that is fine. The best way is to mix the current food with the new food and gradually switch them over. The change of food, could, make their stools soft and possibly runny at first and should clear up in a few days once completely on the same type. If runny poo persists for a longer period of time, you will want to consult your vet just to be safe.

This is an automatic warranty and there is no need to return it. All we ask is that you make sure your puppy shots are up to date and any necessary vet directed directions have been followed. If you have a problem, just give us a call.
